Bee bread is a natural product produced from the pollen of which the outer coat is digested by the intrinsic enzymes on the bees, rendering its nutrients become bioavailable. As the outer coat of pollen is fermented, many beneficial bacteria such as Lactic acid bacteria grow, and it becomes more digestible. Hence, bee bread is a healthy probiotic food due to the presence of Lactobacillus bacteria. Its rich nutrient content helps to support the immune system and gut health. It contains vitamins of B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, E, C, D, and K, and minerals of potassium, magnesium, zinc, iron, copper, manganese, and phosphorus. Also, its high protein content, about 30%, makes it a very nutritious food. Bee bread, as a probiotic food, blocks the growth of pathogenic bacteria in the gut system. Generally, 6-12 pieces for adults and 3-6 pieces for children are recommended daily. Stay healthy!
